Sheryl Anderson, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (MN), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor
Sheryl Anderson is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (MN) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She is an approved clinical supervisor by the Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy (MN) for Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (LADC). Sheryl obtained her Master of Science degree from Southwest Minnesota State University with a major in Special Education, specializing in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. She later earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler Graduate School.
Sheryl's professional experience encompasses inpatient residential treatment for addiction and mental health, community transitional living, outpatient services, and both community-based and school-based settings. Before her career in mental health, she worked as a special education teacher for students with emotional and behavioral disorders.
She has received training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing. Sheryl's areas of practice include individual, group, and family therapy, as well as addiction recovery, gambling disorders, and substance use disorders. She is also a member of the Minnesota Department of Human Services' Problem Gambling Advisory Board.
Sheryl enjoys working with individuals of all ages and is passionate about supporting individuals and families in their recovery journeys. She values authenticity and focuses on solution-oriented approaches in her practice.
