Lindsey Ness, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
Lindsey Ness graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work from MSUM in 2006 and received her Master of Social Work from Capella University in 2021. Most recently, she worked for three years as a school-based therapist. Before that, she spent 15 years in child welfare, primarily in adoption and foster care.
She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). Her specialties include working with children and their families who have experienced trauma or stressful life events. With both personal and professional experience in foster care and adoption, Lindsey has a deep passion for supporting children and caregivers. She enjoys helping children feel safe and unconditionally loved while also assisting caregivers in overcoming barriers to expressing love and security.
Lindsey understands how difficult it can be for people to open up and trust a therapist. She considers it a privilege to be part of her clients’ journeys and finds fulfillment in watching them reach their goals. She evaluates her work by the level of safety and trust her clients feel with her. She values being genuine, trustworthy, respectful, humble, and nonjudgmental while providing unconditional positive regard for all individuals.
In her free time, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her family, attending her children’s activities, and being outdoors.
