Jordan Toren, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (MN)
Jordan Toren earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire in 2014 and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin–Stout in 2016.
While completing her undergraduate and graduate studies, Ms. Toren worked in domestic violence shelters, providing care, support, and treatment to survivors of domestic abuse. She joined Solutions in 2016 as a Clinical Trainee and later became a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), developing a clinical practice serving adults, children, and families. In addition, she provides clinical services to children and families enrolled in the developmental clinic, Autism Innovation in Motion, supporting children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or related conditions.
Ms. Toren has specialized training in the Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood (DC:0-5), a best-practice model for early childhood mental health assessments. She is also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents with trauma histories, as well as the Incredible Years Parenting Programs, which are designed to foster positive parent-child relationships and support emotional, social, and academic development. Additionally, she has training in Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP), an evidence-informed model used to treat children with a variety of mental health challenges, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), an evidence-based therapy aimed at strengthening parent-child relationships.
Her areas of interest include early childhood mental health, trauma, abuse and neglect, depression, anxiety, autism, parent-child relationships, and communication. Ms. Toren values the supportive team approach at Solutions and is passionate about providing care to individuals and families in the community.
