Jami Bobby, MS, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (MN)

Jami Bobby graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in History and Women’s Studies in 2008, then went on to complete her master’s degree in Couples and Family Therapy in 2012. She completed a year-long internship at the NDSU Community Clinic and externships at Luther Hall and the River’s Edge School Day Program in Fargo. Jami is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Minnesota and joined Solutions in September 2022.

Prior to joining Solutions, Ms. Bobby worked in a high-intensity residential chemical dependency treatment program. She also worked at a Rule 29 clinic in Bemidji across several departments, serving on the crisis team, working in elementary schools, providing outpatient therapy, working with sex offenders, and facilitating a domestic violence group. She later transitioned to a locked inpatient chemical dependency unit (CARE). Additionally, she has experience working at an Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) facility, first as a Mental Health Professional and later as Director.

Ms. Bobby has been trained in Motivational Interviewing, the Duluth Model of domestic violence treatment, and Zero Suicide. She was recently trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She specializes in co-occurring mental health and chemical dependency disorders, couples therapy, violence in relationships, and personality disorders. She is a member of the Minnesota Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

Ms. Bobby finds it meaningful to witness change in her clients and values honesty, authenticity, and humor in her therapeutic relationships.
