Ann Battle, MSW, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (MN)
Ann Battle received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Florida and her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Texas. She is licensed in Minnesota as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). Ann completed her master’s internship as a therapist at an LGBTQ counseling agency. She has experience as a case manager and as a therapist at a psychiatric hospital, working with individuals with acute and chronic mental illnesses. Additionally, she has conducted mental health and substance abuse evaluations in emergency departments and worked as an in-home therapist for adults facing chronic mental illness and substance abuse issues.
At Solutions, Ann provides therapy for adults, adolescents, and children. She is experienced in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, couples counseling, multicultural issues, and end-of-life concerns. Ann finds her work with individuals struggling with substance abuse, as well as with couples and families from diverse backgrounds, particularly rewarding. She values the opportunity to connect with her clients, providing them with skills for long-term recovery and healing, and understands the importance of authenticity and meeting her clients where they are.
In her spare time, Ann volunteers on the hospice unit at the VA, enjoys yoga, traveling, and spending time with her children.
