Margaret Skogmo, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA

Margaret Skogmo earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota, in 2014. She went on to complete her Master of Arts in Special Education at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in 2017. In 2025, she completed post‑degree coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis through the University of North Dakota. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in both Minnesota and North Dakota.

Before joining Solutions, Margaret spent more than ten years working in early childhood education as a preschool teacher and a director of a licensed preschool program. Her work centered on supporting whole‑child development through play‑based and nature‑based learning. She emphasized community engagement, cultural immersion, and high‑quality experiential learning. Her experience in both the Twin Cities metro and rural Minnesota strengthened her understanding of how community partnership plays a vital role in the well‑being of young children.

Margaret’s passion lies in early intervention. She specializes in creating naturalistic learning opportunities for young children to promote functional communication, skill development, and strong social relationships. She partners closely with local early childhood programs to support classroom management, strengthen teacher‑child engagement, encourage proactive behavior strategies, to provide behavioral health consultation & referral support.

Margaret’s favorite population to work with is children ages 0–5, a stage she recognizes as a crucial window for brain development. She finds great joy in watching young children learn through play, participate in their community, build friendships, and develop emotional and behavioral regulation. Supporting these early milestones is, for her, a profound honor.

In her work, Margaret prioritizes community partnership, authenticity, and compassion. She believes deeply that when one member of the community thrives, the entire community benefits. She strives to create spaces where families feel safe to be themselves and emphasizes care for the neighbor in alignment with Solutions’ mission of being responsive to community needs.
