Now hiring Behavior Interventionists to work in our autism program. This position provides programming for children having an autism spectrum disorder or related condition using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to help children learn needed skills and for families to accomplish identified outcomes on the treatment plan. A college degree in a human service or child development field and experience with autism preferred. High energy and an enthusiastic attitude is required. Job training will be provided.
The Behavior Interventionist I conducts Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention for children with a diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or related condition using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA services are provided to assist children and families achieve those goals outlined in the Individual Treatment Plan. Services are provided in the home, community, or office setting. The Behavior Interventionist II works under the clinical supervision of the Qualified Supervising Professional (QSP) or a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Has a high school diploma or GED; or
- Fluent in a non-English language; or
- One year experience as a primary personal care assistant, community health worker, waiver service provider, or special education assistant to a person with ASD or related condition with the previous five years.
